15th SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM PILGRIMAGE
IN ROME, 23, 24, 25 OCTOBER 2026
The organisers are hoping for large numbers of participants – not only those who will be present in the churches and streets of Rome, but also those who, unable to make the journey, will join in prayer with the devout Roman pilgrimage.
Since 2012, every year – including on a somewhat reduced scale during the Covid crisis – the Ad Petri Sedem pilgrimage has taken place as an act of thanksgiving due in justice for the enduring and growing vitality of the traditional liturgy.
Since the liturgical upheavals following the Council, the Lord has had mercy on his Church, which has been morally martyred by an unprecedented crisis, and has miraculously helped the Christian people, driven by the instinct of faith, to preserve the traditional liturgy. And with it, the traditional catechism, schools, charitable works, and an entire young generation.
This Christian people will therefore be represented for three days in Rome by pilgrims from all over the world. Through them, in the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Martyrs (the Pantheon), in the streets of Rome, at Saint Mary Major, and at the aptly named Trinity of the Pilgrims, these faithful of Christ from every corner of the world where the ancient liturgy is celebrated – an ancient liturgy, yet one of eternal youth – will pray, give thanks and implore.
And also, quite simply, they will be present, clearly visible, in Rome itself.
